Aleppo Pepper comes from the Aleppo region of Syria. It has a very mild heat of only 10,000 Scoville units. It has a raisin-like sweetness. The slightly salty flavor comes from the salt used in the drying process. It can be used in place of crushed red pepper or paprika. Adds a subtle kick to potatoes, chili, grilled chicken, steak, or pork chops.
