Mediterranean Orzo

Our supreme orzo blend consists of Saffron Orzo, Fire Roasted Red Pepper Orzo and Porcini Orzo. Delicious in a pilaf, minestrone soup, cold pasta salad or by itself with butter or olive oil. Toss cooked orzo with chopped spinach and sliced almonds for a delightful side dish.

To prepare, add 1 cup of orzo to 2 cups of rapidly boiling water or stock. Return to boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes until tender, yet still al dente. Add uncooked orzo to soups during last 10 minutes of cooking. One cup dry yields 3 cups cooked.

Ingredients: durum semolina flour, dried red bell pepper, wheat protein isolate, dehydrated egg white, dried mushroom, saffron threads, paprika, safflower, mushroom base (mushrooms, salt, hydrolyzed soy protein, butter, cream, sugar, whey), autolyzed yeast extract, mushroom juice, modified food starch, onion powder, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, natural flavors, salt, and turmeric for color.
